Student Ministries at The Village Church are centered on the same vision and mission as the rest of the church: To know God, to enjoy Him, and to glorify Him by embracing and extending His love. Our intent is to partner with parents to disciple each student from the time they enter TVC until they graduate and move into life’s next great adventure. We seek to equip students with the knowledge and experiences they need to live away from their parents but ever close to their Heavenly Father.
First Steps is TVC’s ministry for the youngest children in our body. Geared towards babies and toddlers (nursery-aged), Sunday Equipping Classes and Life Groups activities will be focused on learning the basic, foundational truths of the faith. These little ones will be exposed to the Westminster Shorter Catechisms and lots of fun Bible stories and topics that they will continue to build upon throughout their lives.
Village Kids I & II Village Kids is the group of children in grades K-6. At this age, children are very energetic and highly impressionable. The SEC and Life Groups curriculum focus on knowing who God is and how he has been acting on behalf of his people forever! Packed with Bible stories and exciting games, students will learn the who, what, when, where, and why’s of the Bible and begin to see how those things should shape their lives now. Village Kids is split into two classes on Sunday mornings: K-2 and 3-6.
The Light Jr. and Sr. Light is the youth ministry at TVC and focuses on students in grades 7-12. With the knowledge they have acquired in their younger years, these students will be challenged to think critically about their faith and lives. SEC and Life Groups curriculum are focused on more in-depth and sometimes controversial topics. Among other things, our youth will learn how to defend their faith against other world religions and how to glorify God with their life decisions. These students will learn to let their light shine, to be the light of the world just as Jesus has commanded. Youth girls and guys have both separate and joint times of study and fellowship.
